CRAFTS
Moroccan craftsmanship is distinguished by an authentic and ancestral know-how which testifies the richness and diversity of Moroccan culture and the common desire to preserve and enhance them. Our crafts are also regional. Each terroir is distinguished by its materials, colors, patterns and history.
Our artisans do not always have direct access to the market. Several intermediaries are involved in the marketing and supply chain, without facilitating access to quality raw materials, good trade exposure or fair terms of sale.
Moroccan craftsmanship suffers from counterfeiting, imported products and industrialized products that hide under the banner of craftsmanship to impose prices and usurp the attention of the buyer. The Moroccan handicraft product has not yet embraced the quality labels developed by the supervisory department. These precious distinctions are still very little used and little valued.
Azul Fair Trade's ambition is to promote the quality, responsibility and origin labels developed by the Department of Handicrafts, in order to encourage our artisans to follow the path of labeling their products.
